Welcome to St. Katharine Drexel School in St. Cloud, Minnesota

Hello! My name is Amy Kleinschmidt, or "Mrs. K" as most of the firsties call me. I have been teaching at St. Katharine Drexel for 11 years. First grade is full of fun! 

 
In first grade, we love our Daily 5 program! We are building our reading and writing skills each day. Our stamina is growing! 

Our classroom may look a little different than a "typical" classroom. We have flexible seating, so our students can learn in a spot that is most comfortable for them. It looks different for each student. It may be a stool, crate seat, bench, floor, or chair. Research shows when students can learn in a comfortable setting, they gain so much more!
